The notion of Corporate Social Responsibility is becoming increasingly important to businesses. Not only does it add value to the business, but most importantly, it is about giving back to the community.

Majer Recruitment encourages all their employees, permanent and temporary, to become involved in community projects and fundraising activities. The Majer team make a gold coin donation every Friday for casual day and donate monthly to Diabetes Australia.

Furthermore, Majer Recruitment’s strong sense of community can also be seen through their support of a number Australian Charities. In 2006, Majer staff have donated to and worked with:

• The Starlight Foundation
• CanTeen
• Diabetes Australia
• Queensland Cancer Fund

In addition, Majer actively promotes a healthy lifestyle and regularly partake in charity walks and runs with their clients. The team has recently participated in:

• Walk for Kids – Royal Children’s Hospital
• Bridge to Brisbane
• Pricewaterhouse Coopers Cool Night Classic

Majer strongly believes in the importance of a solid education in order to provide youths with the necessary tools and opportunities to excel in their future careers. This is why Majer is proud to say that we are assisting children’s education in developing countries, such as Rwanda. Through our financial support, we are helping re-build school facilities in the town on Gitarama.

The Majer team are currently supporting 19 students by putting them through school and ensuring that they have access to a quality education. So far, we have received some outstanding reports about how we are helping these students achieve their goals. Some of the letters that have been sent from the students can be viewed on our website.

The Majer team is proud to support the above charities and is committed to maintaining long term relationships with these organisations in order to build a brighter future for the less fortunate people they support.
